Single Review: Direct Force “Full Throttle”
Before
starting this review, I want to highlight a small point. I was recently
approached by a Lelahel Metal fan who questioned my decision to review
AI-related projects. It reminded me of the early 2000s, when the rise of
one-man bands, home recording, and musicians doing everything themselves with a
basic PC and internet connection was often criticized. Today, that approach is
completely normal and some artists do it exceptionally well. Direct Force is a
perfect example, and you will understand why.
“Full
Throttle” is unapologetically straightforward metal, built around a catchy
riff, pounding drums, heavy bass, and a chorus that sticks immediately. Yes,
the production has a homemade character, but honestly, we are tired of
ultra-polished productions that sometimes sound technically perfect yet say
absolutely nothing. There is personality here.
The vocals are particularly impressive, carrying a raw, aggressive edge that occasionally recalls Sir Tom Araya. The guitar work is simple but effective, proving that you do not need endless technical fireworks to create a memorable metal track. “Full Throttle” feels innocent in its directness, rebellious in its attitude, and genuine in its execution.
Most
importantly, Direct Force understands the essence of heavy music: riffs,
energy, attitude, and something worth shouting along to. Sometimes,
simple is exactly what we need.
