Single Review: Cry The Enemy “Ride to Hell”

Ah yes, hard rock! It is a style we love at Lelahel Metal, especially for its simplicity, powerful sound, and timeless attitude. With “Ride to Hell,” Phoenix-based Cry The Enemy deliver exactly the kind of straightforward, energetic hard rock that reminds us why the genre continues to work so well.

The main riff immediately catches the ear with a classic feel, sounding like it could have come from the golden era of hard rock while still carrying Cry The Enemy’s own identity. There is no need for unnecessary complexity here, the riff simply hits, grooves, and gets the job done. The vocalist is another major strength. His gritty, confident delivery is perfectly suited to this style, with shades of early Ozzy Osbourne and David Coverdale, without relying on excessive high notes. His voice gives the track plenty of character and authenticity.

The guitar solo is an absolute delight, bringing a strong old-school feeling. The guitarist’s right-hand attack adds the attitude and emotion that a great hard rock solo needs, making it feel natural rather than merely technical.

The bass and drums provide exactly what the song requires: a classic, solid rhythmic foundation that keeps everything moving without unnecessary complications.

This is simply good hard rock, honest, energetic, and played with conviction. We like it, and we support it!
