The Sad Season : It’s All Too Loud in Here

London’s The Sad Season return with It’s All Too Loud in Here, a powerful new EP that captures the band’s evolution from an intimate acoustic duo into a full, dynamic force. Formed by longtime friends Mikee (SikTh) and Tomasz, the project began with stripped-back arrangements and dual vocals before expanding into a richer sonic landscape. With Sian joining on bass in 2024 and Ralph completing the lineup on drums in 2025, the band has developed a distinctive identity built on chemistry, experimentation, and raw emotional depth.

Crafted over several years, the EP reflects a journey through melancholy, anger, and heartache, ultimately arriving at themes of strength, renewal, and love. Drawing from influences such as Leonard Cohen, Sonic Youth, Mogwai, Nick Cave, and The Velvet Underground, The Sad Season fuse poetic lyricism with an immersive and gritty sound. Expect gnarly riffage, wild yet fragile vocal interplay, and a hypnotic rhythmic pulse that feels both chaotic and deeply intentional.

Blending dirty garage rock, 60s psych, grunge textures, and progressive post-rock atmospheres, It’s All Too Loud in Here stands out as a bold and original statement. Following their standout performance at ArcTanGent 2025, The Sad Season are poised to make a resonant impact with this compelling release.
