Single Review – Helladdict: “Homeless”
With “Homeless”,
Helladdict delivers a furious injection of pure Latino thrash metal that feels
like a time-capsule blast from an era when metal was dirty, fast, and
unapologetically real. Clocking in at just over four minutes, the track
showcases everything that defines the band’s identity: raw guitar grit, thin
yet slicing drums, and a vocal attack that borders on unhinged sincerity.
From the
very first seconds, Helladdict announces their intentions. A devastating drum
roll sets the stage, immediately followed by a razor-sharp riff that could have
easily lived on an early ’90s underground demo. The bass: gloriously clanky and
rough-edged, sounds like the strings haven’t been changed in years, and
honestly, that only adds to the charm. This is music made with heart, sweat,
and a fiercely DIY spirit.
What makes “Homeless” stand out is the honesty behind it. In an age where production perfection and digital polish dominate, Helladdict refuses to conform. Their sound is sincere, gritty, and built for the live stage. The kind of band you watch to let loose and forget everything else for a while.
Well done,
Helladdict. Bands like yours are rare these days, and “Homeless” is a
reminder of why raw thrash metal still matters.
