Rosetta West Unleashes Ambitious New Single “Snake 25”
Rosetta
West returns with “Snake 25” a sprawling, six-minute odyssey that fuses moody
introspection with explosive hard rock. Opening with an atmospheric,
slow-burning intro, the track suddenly erupts into a dense wall of sound driven
by aggressive guitars, thunderous drums, and wailing vocals. Lyrically, “Snake
25” is rich with Gnostic symbolism, weaving a deeply personal tale through
cryptic, mystical imagery.
Based in Illinois, Rosetta West has carved out a distinctive niche in the underground rock scene. Their blues rock foundation is colored by elements of psychedelia, world folk, and spiritual exploration. Frontman Joseph Demagore, who handles vocals, guitars, and keyboards, is the band’s principal songwriter. He’s joined by bassist and co-producer Jason X, who also contributes on keyboards and has served as the band’s sound engineer since Labyrinth (2024). Both are supported by the elusive drummer Nathan Q. Scratch—known for his refusal to be photographed.
Despite a
lone release with Alive Records, Rosetta West has remained fiercely
independent, cultivating a devoted global following. “Snake 25” exemplifies
their boundary-pushing style and uncompromising vision. Discover their growing
discography on Bandcamp, YouTube, and other streaming platforms—these rare
sonic gems are worth the dig.
