Single Review : Destroyer of Worlds - The Hunter
Bronx-based metal project Destroyer of Worlds delivers a relentless debut with “The Hunter,” a brutal track that channels the raw aggression of early Krisiun. Formed two years ago by the band’s guitarist and producer due to the scarcity of stable musicians in NYC, the lineup features Ronzoni Buttofuco (bass/vocals) and Chachi Morales (drums/vocals). Despite its underground status, the project brings years of experience in the scene, and it shows.
The track
kicks off with a ferocious, technical riff that sets the stage for guttural
death metal vocals and a flurry of fast, razor-sharp guitar work. The raw
production complements the intensity, and the dual vocal assault—deep growls
and high screams—adds serious punch. A delayed solo in the middle injects
atmosphere before diving back into the chaos. With unmistakable South American
death metal influences, “The Hunter” is a promising first strike from a band
that deserves your attention.
