Single Review: Untold Jukebox “Empire of Stone”
Untold
Jukebox takes a genuinely fresh approach with “Empire of Stone,” blending heavy
metal with the distinctive sound of Andean panflutes to create an atmosphere
that immediately evokes the Inca Empire. The contrast between crushing guitar
riffs and traditional flute melodies gives the track a cinematic, ancient-world
character, making it feel like a journey through mountains, temples, and
forgotten civilizations.
What makes
the concept even more unexpected is its origin from the land of the Vikings.
There is something wonderfully unconventional about combining Andean mythology
and instrumentation with a Nordic-based metal project. The result lands firmly
in folk metal territory, but with a particular identity of its own.
It is also
fair to say that the AI involvement is noticeable from the very first listen,
particularly in some of the production and musical choices. However, that
doesn't take away from the ambition behind the project. The important thing is
that the final result actually sounds good, and “Empire of Stone” succeeds in
creating an engaging and memorable atmosphere.
Fresh,
unusual, and certainly different from the usual metal releases, this is a
concept worth applauding. Whether there is a whole team behind Untold Jukebox
or just one creative mind, the idea deserves credit.
