Kiaatti’s “Never Broken” dives into resilience, healing, and emotional rebirth. In this interview, he reflects on the experiences, influences, and personal growth that shaped his most powerful and cinematic release yet.
1.
“Never Broken” feels both vulnerable and triumphant. What moment or experience
sparked the very first idea for this song?
I am an
artist whose message is to uplift individuals who came from hardship. I try to
include an element of that in every song I make and apart of . This is one of
those songs that went more detailed of that same feeling.
2. When
you were writing it, did you know right away that this would become one of your
most emotionally powerful releases?
I knew it when I first heard the production. A artist can always tell and get a special feeling when they hear something new and it catches their attention fully like something calling them.
3. The song captures the feeling of being fractured and piecing yourself
back together. How did you approach translating that journey into your lyrics?
By speaking on my own experiences of being fractured and piercing myself back together. Little by little piece by piece then delivering it to my audience.
4. Your vocals carry so much raw emotion here. Was recording this track
different from your usual process?
I definitely became more in tune with myself recording this song. I touch parts in my past confusions that made me who I am today.
5. “Never Broken” has a cinematic sound. Which musical or visual influences
shaped the atmosphere of the production?
Just the
feeling of triumph was the influence. The feeling of accomplishment from struggle.
Musically I have always been an alternative artist in the sense of any genre
that pursue it will always sound like its own lane of sound no matter if it's
accepted by the public eye or not.
6.
Resilience is at the core of the song. What does personal strength mean to you
at this point in your life and career?
Personal strength can be many artists making or breaking point. As artist touching his mid-20s I understand that my best music has yet to come. I have to stay mentally ready for the lessons I learn that come from that and be able to handle any setbacks.
7. Many listeners will relate to the themes of rebuilding after hardship. Is
there a message you hope they take with them after hearing it?
The biggest thing I can say is always make sure to wake up the next day. Life tends always fix itself for the better but you have to make sure you don't harm yourself to see the things in life that could come to benefit you.
8. The chorus feels like a moment of emotional release. What was the biggest
challenge in crafting such a powerful hook?
In that hook there are screams that I did that I have never done before . Screaming the word "NOW" while holding a certain note and cadence for the needed bar length was new to me.
9. This track blends soulful vocals with atmospheric pop. How would you
describe your evolution as an artist leading up to this release?
Just fine-tuning my roots mixed with what I have learned this far. I have always been into metal then mixing that sound with an ulterior pop feel of cadence adds up to be 'Never Broken".
10. If “Never Broken” were part of a larger story or future project, what
chapter would it represent?
A new direction in sound fully. The first mix that I am proud of to have done and put out myself to receive online attention.
11. What was the most memorable moment during the creation—writing,
recording, or producing—of this song?
Definitely recording because that is when you are actual bringing the emotion out. And then you visualize what this song and performance could be.
12. Looking ahead, how do you hope “Never Broken” shapes the next phase of
your artistic journey and the connection with your listeners?
I hope it
shapes my music as a voice of motivation to be something bigger for not only
yourself but for the people who support you every day.
