Single Review : ReeToxa “Amber”
ReeToxA’s
“Amber” arrives not as just another single, but as a piece of the band’s
history finally given the spotlight it deserves. We’ve reviewed many of
ReeToxA’s releases over those 2 years, and it’s always clear that this band
pours honesty, grit, and heart into everything they create. Their commitment to
good musicand to keeping the flame alive remains unmistakable in every new
release.
A grunge-driven track sharpened by the unmistakable swagger of Australian pub rock, “Amber” feels both rooted in the past and sharpened for the present. Originally written in 1995, it was Jason McKee’s first-ever song born from a love poem, a spark of teenage certainty, and a heartbreak shaped not by lack of feeling but by outside influence. That emotional core still burns through the modern recording. The guitars roar with restless energy, while the vocals carry a raw urgency that reflects Jason’s plea to follow the heart, not the crowd.
Landing as
track three on a stacked album, “Amber” doesn’t merely take its place, it
bursts forward. Passionate, blistering, and unfiltered, it stands as proof that
some songs don’t age; they evolve. ReeToxA has breathed new fire into a moment
from the past, and the result is a single that feels both timeless and fiercely
alive.
