Single review : Reetoxa  “Alcohol”

Australian punk rocker Reetoxa returns with “Alcohol”, a raw and unapologetic single that kicks off the new album Pine Salad with pure adrenaline. Having followed and reviewed several of Reetoxa’s releases before, we can confidently say this track captures everything we’ve come to love about his sound — loud, gritty, self-aware, and laced with humor.

Blending punk rock and grunge with modern-day grit, “Alcohol” tells the story of a man who can only find courage to talk to women after a few beers — until one night ends with him waking up in the suburbs, broke, phoneless, and hungover. What could have been a tale of regret turns into a witty and infectious anthem about human flaws and nocturnal chaos.

Musically, “Alcohol” stands out as the heaviest and most energetic track on the album, yet it remains irresistibly danceable. The distorted guitars slash through the mix while the rhythm section drives the song with unrelenting urgency. Reetoxa’s vocals deliver that signature sneer , part frustration, part amusement ,transforming personal misadventure into relatable punk storytelling.

What makes Reetoxa special is his ability to merge sharp social observation with humor and self-deprecation, keeping his music both entertaining and brutally honest. “Alcohol” is another fierce entry in his growing catalogue, proving once again that few can capture the messiness of real life with such charisma and raw authenticity.
