Dii Minores – March Of The Fallen
Swedish
metal band Dii Minores unleashes their debut original album March Of
The Fallen—a bold and compelling fusion of heavy, doom, power, and black
metal. Formed by long-time collaborators Johan Wahlbom (guitar), Kenneth
Larsson (vocals), and Mattias Åsell Backlund (bass), and later joined by
guitarist Mikael Meijer in 2019, the band channels a decades-long chemistry
into a fresh and ferocious sound.
Drawing inspiration from metal giants like Black Sabbath, Candlemass, and Judas Priest, alongside the darker edges of Necrophobic and Dissection, Dii Minores crafts an album rooted in tradition yet rich with originality. The title track, March Of The Fallen, bursts with high-octane blackened energy and soaring melodies, while Dii Minores stands as a triumphant heavy metal anthem. The third single, Firedevil, delves into slow, doom-laden territory.
Primarily
self-recorded in their rehearsal space and homes, the album also features a
piano cameo by Misstiq and a standout cover of Coven’s “Black
Sabbath,” reimagined in their signature style. With performances slated,
including a Latvian metal festival in July, Dii Minores are poised to make a
significant mark on the global metal scene.
